Gas boilers within the “G” band are the first one’s to be eligible for the £400 grant – under the proposed Government-Boiler-Scrappage-Scheme, due to come into force early in 2010. Boilers with a SEDBUK Band Rating of G have an efficiency value of LESS THAN seventy percent (less than 70%).
